Creating the bodywork

As I changed the design and dimensions of my chassis from the original Locost design to suit myself, the only body components that I could buy ready made were the fibreglass mudguards, everything else I had to custom make.  These photos follow the design and construction of the bodywork in fibreglass and aluminium.   Now knowing how time consuming this process was and also how expensive the fibreglass resin was I would recommend trying to utilise existing fibreglass panels wherever possible.  Every fibreglass panel is a 3 part process (buck, mould and final part) and therefore requires a lot of time and money.
