The finished product in place. I was quite pleased with my first effort with carbon fibre and everyone who has seen the centre console has been impressed. Due to the high cost of the mat and resin I doubt that I will be making too many components from it. It's very challenging to produce a perfect finish as however it comes out of the mould is the finished product. At least with fibreglass you get the chance to repair any faults and then paint the surface. The only advantages of carbon fibre in this application are looks and lightweight, but you pay a high price for these debateable advantages.
